As the head of Delos Shipping and Delos Investment Management, Brian D. Ladin supervises people, ships, and assets all over the world. Outside of his professional obligations, Brian D. Ladin supports education through donations to the Kinkaid School and other institutions.

The Kinkaid School in Piney Point Village, Texas, offers a non-sectarian education to 1,400 students in grades pre-K through 12. The school sits on 64 acres and features several athletic fields, multiple tennis courts, an auditorium, an amphitheater, and more.
Just shy of four acres on the campus are set aside for outdoor nature studies. Dubbed Kinkaid’s Backyard, the riparian corridor is home to wildlife and local vegetation. Students have the opportunity to learn about the environment and conduct scientific investigations in their backyard.
The students proposed the nature reserve in the early 1990s. Upper school students persuaded the Kinkaid administration of the value the piece of land could have as an undeveloped educational space. Kinkaid’s Backyard was dedicated in April 1993. The area continues to inspire students and community members nearly 25 years later.
