Brian D. Ladin

A top shipping-industry executive, Brian D. Ladin travels to various cities around the world in the course of his business dealings, as well as for leisurely travel. One of Brian D. Ladin’s favorite cities is London.

The City of London, which is one small area of the larger London, is also known as The Square Mile, as its area is approximately one square mile. The city was founded around A.D. 50 by the Romans. St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London are among its many famous landmarks.

One way to reach the city is by train. The Liverpool Street station is right in the middle of the city’s business district. There are a number of other ways to get around the city, including taxi, bus, bicycle, and by foot. You also can cruise along the River Thames with the pier located just outside the Tower of London. In commemoration of the 400th death anniversary of Shakespeare, there are many Shakespeare-related events in various venues around the City of London in 2016.
