The Kinkaid School is a nonsectarian college preparatory day school in Houston, Texas. It has over 1,400 students enrolled in grades prekindergarten through 12. Apart from its academic programs, the Kinkaid school also offers arts programs.
At Kinkaid, arts education is considered an integral part of the educational paradigm. The school believes strongly that exploring the arts is an important way for students to find their own voice. Hence, all its students are provided learning experiences in any number of the four artistic disciplines: music, visual arts, dance, and theater.
Arts education at Kinkaid is handled by over 40 qualified instructors who are educated and practitioners in their respective fields of expertise. As a result, the school's productions, as well as its individual art students, have been recognized by several award-giving bodies. Moreover, some of its alumni have gone on to have careers in Hollywood.
